Electroplating molybdenum onto mild steel fasteners

October 3, 2009

Electroplating of molybdenum on mild steels . nuts and bolts of size like 25 mm by 8 mm\
please suggest method and machinery required for bulk production

PLEASE SUGGEST SOME WAY TO MAKE MILD STEEL ACID RESISTANT

It depends on what exactly you mean by 'acid proof'. One can coat the steel components with titanium which resists most of the acids except HF at room temperature. We have coated Ti by PVD process as a protective coating on several metals.
