Repairing shower stall chrome track

Is there anyway a Do-It-Yourselfer can restore the chrome on the track the shower stall doors glide on?

Hi, Michele. Chrome plating is a factory process rather than a D-I-Y process. I think replacement is a better bet than trying to paint it.
