Scratch marks and dents in Vibro finishing

Our customer is asking us to do vibro finishing on the castings we supply to them. But they are rejecting almost 80% of the castings due to minor scratch marks on the sealing surface and also some dent marks are getting exposed.

Can you suggest how to prevent this issue and come out of it.

Not sure of what equip or size of machine you have, but it sounds as if you are not runing enough media to parts. Normal deburring uses 50 to 60% parts to media. If you are doing that, then increase the media. Burnishing or polishing uses up to 80% media to parts. Another way to protect or cushion parts is to run a lot more liquid through the system. If the parts are big or heavy, you may have to put dividers into the machine.
