Refinishing black coating on gas element of Miehle cook top

I need the black finish has come off of the ring and the center button on the gas element. Can they be refinished with a matte black heat resistant finish?

Hi, Brad. I would look for replacement parts. I am not familiar with that particular cooktop, but the coating on such things is usually ceramic -- more like melted glass than paint. I doubt that any paint will remain attractive if it even remains present.
