Difference between zinc boat anodes and plating anodes

Hi everyone. I am new to plating and would like to know if there is any difference in purity between zinc sourced from plating suppliers and that used in a marine environment.

Marine anodes contain cadmium and plating anodes are usually 99.99% pure.
