Neutralizing EN parts to stop bleed out

Now we had problem with some kind of acid leaking (redish brown deposit) on our EN parts, caused by part shape, which has aperture. Is it usual to do neutralization to EN part, by means of using mild alkaline, prior to passivating process? How can we eliminate this problem permanently?

You need to plug the part to prevent the leak, rather than trying to neutralize it (which you will fail to completely neutralize it unless it is an unusual part)
