Identifying specific finishes

Does the Finishing industry provide "finish standards" similar to what I have for "surface finishes"?
Where would I get them?

Hi, Mike. The industry doesn't supply these as an industry standard, because there are too many possible finishes and no mathematical way to measure and express what is acceptable and what isn't. But plating and coating shops can provide samples of their finishing. Good luck.
