POLISHING XAMAC, ALUMINIUM and STEEL PARTS

WE HAVE XAMAC, ALUMINIUM & STEEL PARTS IN OUR INDUSTRY.THEY ARE VERY ROUGH BECAUSE THEY MADE FROM DIE CASTING.WE WANT TO POLISH THEM CHEMICALLY WITHOUT BRUSHING & BUFFING BECAUSE THERE IS WAY TO POLISH MANUALLY. PLEASE SUGGEST US THE CHEMICALS USED FOR POLISHING OF XAMAC,ALUMINIUM & STEEL.

Not sure what Xamac is; however, you also mention steel and aluminum. You can not develop one process for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and get the same results. To do what you indicate can be done in a mass finishing systems but it will take at least a 2 step operation maybe 3, 4 or 5, depending upon what kind of surface finish you want. There is not enough info to make recommendation for a mechanical system.

First of two simultaneous responses -- August 6, 2009

Dear Mr.Kenton

Hello

Thanks a lot indeed.I m sorry for my English language.
We make door hardware (locks)from Xamac 3. We make them by die-casting process after that we polish them with mechanical process.polishing of them spend more time such as Buffing and...
Nonetheless we decided to have new methods for that.I think the electrochemical(electropolishing)process to be good way for our target, just I think but we don't know anything about it.In Iran I don't know any person or company guide me about that. Now, please kindly consult me how can we do it?
please send me solution of this problem completely!

Best regards

Second of two simultaneous responses --

Xamac = Zamac = die-casting alloy = zinc + 4% aluminium + various smaller amounts of copper and magnesium.
