Heavy Build Electroless Nickel

Does anyone have experience with building up High Phos Electroless Nickel to .010 or thicker? What is the limit to max thickness?

Thanks Mike

I have read that it can be done with special processes, but for the lay plater, the process slows down after 0.0015 and virtually stops at 0.003. Some areas just stop plating and is generally a mess. Talk to your solution vendor. You will be using enough solution on an annual basis that they probably will be interested in working with you.

We are normally doing ENP (electroless nickel plating), High Phosporous to about 0.075 microns and have at times salvaged jobs for 100 microns thick.

Mr Somon,
0.010 is in inches, not microns. 1 micron is about 0.00004 inches, so even 200 microns is far less than what he wanted.
