-----Nickel plating on zinc before copper
Presently we are doing copper plating on zinc alloy cases followed by nickel and PVD process. Is it possible to do nickel plating on zinc before copper ?, will it improve corrosion resistance of the zinc ?
Kindly give your suggestion.

Hi, Rama. I believe that there are proprietary nickel strikes designed for zinc diecastings, but I don't think they would solve the problem. I would focus on the possible limitations or weaknesses of your current nickel plating layer.

Sir,
Thank you very much for your suggestion.
Our nickel layer is 8.0 -10.0 micron thick. Will it reduce the corrosion of zinc substrate ? Do we have to go for any other corrosion resistance layer before PVD ?
