-----What is Copper Tin Plating
I have a question about plating material. One of my suppliers has a part (an RCA audio jack for a printed circuit board) has the center conductor "copper-tin" plated. I have never heard of this type of plating and wondered what it is.

Hi, Ron. Without seeing it in context, my assumption would be that he is speaking of copper plating followed by tin plating. This would be done, for example, on aluminum parts that need to be soldered.
