Does AMSQQN290 require that 303 CRES receive stress relief?

Yes, h.t. is required unless otherwise specified if the material in question was machined, ground, cold formed or cold straightened.

A. Hi Ron,
303 is a 18-8 stainless steel, so if you have been cold working this in any way you need to stress relieve in accordance with para 3.2.2. There is no get out clause for low strength materials so it needs to be done.
