-----What is in Rust Killers?
Hello Everyone,
I'm a year 11 student doing an Extended Experimental Investigation
(EEI) on the subject of rust and corrosion in relation to iron.
I have searched the web prolifically and can't find an exact list of chemicals involved in a substance known as 'Rust Killer'.
Although this can probably be expected as companies like to keep their trade secrets secret, I would like to know if anyone can offer some insight as to what they think it could be made out of (or if you have a tin of Rust Killer that has the list of chemicals used on the back of it).

Hi, Stuart. The principal ingredient is phosphoric acid.

I agree with Ted,
apart try with a rusty nail and put it in Coca-Cola, you will see the rust-killing effect.
