Corrosion resistance of stainless coatings on brass

Will an exterior stainless steel coated brass light fixture rust?

Hi, Pat. Brass can tarnish and corrode, but it can never rust because it contains no iron. As for the 'stainless coating', what exactly does that mean? It is impossible to electroplate stainless steel onto brass. Are you speaking of a paint that has flecks of stainless steel in it?
