Is chromate coating resistant to fungus attack and support fungal growth?

Chromate coated aluminum alloy is resistant to corrosion. Is that coating also resistant to fungal growth?

Hi Henry,

I don't know for certain whether or not the chromate coatings act as fungicides, but you may be best served by contacting the manufacturer of one of the most common - Henkel (they make the Alodine line of products). If anyone can say for certain, they certainly can.

Good luck!
