How to apply lead onto copper and lead

I want to plate a copper bar and a lead plate (welded together) with lead.
My thickness desired is around 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm.

What is the economical solution to plate this with a big amount of pieces and a these pieces weigh over 150 lbs each. (handling problem).

I don't think electroplating is a good solution for me (thickness of lead .5 mm to 1.0 mm)

There is a hot immersion process called "babbitting" that is used to apply layers of lead-tin alloys to slide bearings and other kind of anti-friction surfaces made of many different materials. A pre-coating of pure tin is usually applied to improve adhesion but in your particular case it is better to call an expert. Just type the word in your search engine.
