Need defined steps for achieving a Ra 0.1 on stainless steel




What is the best way (Steps) for obtaining a Ra 0.1 finish on stainless steel. We have a number of parts that we will be machining the I.D which requires this finish. Please help..

You know, best is a relative term.It depends on what the surface finish you are starting with, size, shape, and quantity of parts and cost factors. Probably the best method for working ID's is an Extrudehone system. Very expensive.
