POROSITY IN ALUMINIUM COMPONENTS

Porosity in aluminium components observed this parts are cadmium plated with electroless nickel as undercoat. We find problems of small blister. My question is if porosity is observed then blister will occur or not?

Cast aluminum definitely will have pores and will be a pain. Some to many extrusions have pores and can lead to blisters. They may not be notices until they are baked. I assume that you are doing a diffused NiCad coating.
Wrought aluminum should not be a problem unless you are going to the cheapest vendor out there.

You will never succeed on a porous aluminum substrate. A way to overcome or at least reduce the porosity would be to die cast the aluminum.
