-----Translating "galvanically protected" to Polish
January 20, 2009
I am trying to translate a document into English and just want clarification on a point. We have an acid proof steel reservoir which is (and this is where I need your help)galvanically protected? (or can I just say that it is galvanised?)
Is that the correct term to use?
I would appreciate any help you can give me to understand this better.

Hi, Gareth. There is no point in expanding the confusion across multiple languages :-)
It is not clear what the original author is trying to say. Only after that is established can the translation proceed. Good luck.

Furthermore, if it's acid resistant then it certainly isn't galvanized. More problems in establishing just what is meant!

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
