-----Painting for protection from hydrofluoric and nitric acid fumes
What type of paint is recommended to protect overhead mechanical piping from corrosion?
We have steel fire sprinkler piping that is installed above our soaking tanks and is becoming very corroded we have been directed to coat them to prevent further corrosion.

I have had reasonable success with both polyurethane and epoxy paints over a suitable base. The real problem you need to look out for is failure of the sprinkler heads. These fumes will cause corrosion and/or deterioration of the zinc link resulting in the sprinkler going off. (first hand experience). We were told to use "wax" coated sprinkler heads and they were physically inspected for corrosion every six months.

You will have very good success using ECTFE Fluoropolymer.
I can give you two brand names, HALAR* from Solvay Solexis and TEFZEL* from DuPont.
