-----Rust protection for antique iron fixture
I am hoping to be able to use my mother's antique iron dining room fixture in my screened in porch, but since it will be susceptible to weather/moisture, I was wondering if there is a product that it can be sprayed with to prevent rusting.

Hi, Nancy. Uhhh, black paint? Any reason you can't paint it?

Well you've got a couple of choices,
A good paint or lacquer is probably the first choice.
Beeswax would be my second.
The bottom line is, bare iron + moisture = rust.
You need to put some sort of corrosion protection on it if you're going to have it outside.
