Peroxide treatment of sulfamate nickel

2000

I electro-plate circuit boards nickel sulfamate and gold soft and hard I was wondering why we would need to peroxide treat our sulfamate nickel bath. and will peroxide increase the stress levels (tensile and residual)? we carbon once a week and run continuous filtering

any answers greatly appreciated

I would not add peroxide unless I knew, specifically, why I was adding it. It will oxidize iron, destroy brightener and wetting agent and make some breakdown products of some brighteners easier to absorb onto carbon. If you stop adding peroxide, you may find out why you were adding it.
