I believe that the electrogalvanizing is almost irrelevant because it will be almost instantly and completely stripped in hydrochloric acid.

Ted is correct. Just take the steel to a hot dip galvanizer and he will put it into acid and the electro zinc will be stripped off and then the product will be rinsed, fluxed, and put into the molten zinc. The hot dip galvanizer may charge more money for the hot dip galvanizing because in the stripping of the electro zinc some zinc will get into his acid.
