-----Plating thickness and aspect ratio
Can we plate a dot that is about 2mm thick and and 5mm in diameter using lead-tin solder?

It's hard to give a yes or no answer to such a question, Mark, but 2 mm is a very thick plating layer, probably 50 to 100 times the usual thickness.
