Hard chrome plating help!

We are facing a lot of problem while carrying out the process of hard chrome plating on chilled cast iron calendar rolls. what is the solution to this problem? how can we achieve good chrome thickness?

The solution is probably to retain a plating consultant with significant hard chrome experience to come in and take a look, Vinod. It is possible, though, that your plating process vendor can come in and help you.

If you have one specific problem and can explain your operating parameters, a reader may be able to offer a suggestion. Good luck.

Cast iron is very porous and thus is nearly impossible to plate without pits and blisters. a copper strike followed by a copper build coat that you machine back prior to hard chrome plating is the only thing that I can think of.
