Electroless ncikel on titanium





My base material is titanium and I am trying to plate Electroless Nickel on it. Plse advise.

Hi, Hazel. Your question is too vague. Are you already doing it, but unsuccessfully? If so, what are the problems. Are you already successfully doing EN, but not on titanium? Are you a production plating shop or a researcher trying to do one?

Recognizing that a full in-depth response would take several book chapters if you are starting from scratch, I'd suggest that you try to get hold of ASM Metals Handbook Volume 5 "Surface Engineering" for the preparation of titanium and Mallory and Hajdu's "Electroless Plating" [on eBay , Amazon, or AbeBooks] for the EN. Good luck.
