-----Passivation using phosphoric acid
Is it possible to passivate a 316 stainless steel tank using phosphoric acid? will the passivation still be effective if I use the stainless steel tank to hold 80%vol phosphoric acid?

No, phosphoric acid does not passivate stainless steel. That requires citric or nitric acid. Storage of phosphoric shouldn't be a problem, however.
