Easiest way to make Hard Chrome surface hydrophilic
We have received a request to produce a highly polished (mirror) finish on a Hard Chrome roll and to make it hydrophilic.
Can anyone tell me the easiest way to achieve this?

I've seen highly polished chromed rolls engraved with patterns, lettering or the like to be able to pick up ink and transfer it in printing presses. Is this what you need? Why do they want it hydrophilic?
