We need conductive finish on polyester resin for copper electroplating

2007

We want to electroplate artistic pieces (polyester resin) in silver and gold. But only have doing it with initial coating in silver but it's too expensive.
Is there another way to turn polyester to electric conductive for electroplating?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Rafael. Yes there are alternatives for metallizing polyester. Please start with our FAQ on this subject, then ask whatever questions you may have. Thanks.

Hi, I'm also trying the gold electroplating on polyester resin with sandblasting effect. I am doing copper plating followed by sandblasting process during sandblasting the copper layer coming out. How can I get gold electroplating on polyester resin?

Hi, Saravana. Please spend some more time explaining your situation. It sounds like you are copper plating the item, then sandblasting the copper right back off again and wondering why it's gone?

I don't think that's what you are trying to say, but I can't figure it out.

Regards,
