How to do heat treatment for electroless nickel
2007
We had an enquiry for electroless nickel of 25 microns thickness and hardness about 58 to 60 HRC for EN-8 base material.
What is the heat treatment and how should I apply that process to the plated material?
1.What temperature?
2.Time?

Hi,
It requires around average of 375-400 °C, for one hour you would achieve maximum hardness for mid-phosphorous electroless nickel, but you would be sacrificing other properties like corrosion.
