-----Could flux short the components on my laptop motherboard?
My little brother had been running multiple programs on my laptop for some very long hours, than the system just turned off with a snap and couldn't turn on ever since. The heatsink fan does spin when I press the power button but it just won't boot, didn't even had a BIOS splash screen.
I took the whole thing apart and found some flux on a component near the CPU area. The flux is touching a few components near it. Could this be my problem?

I have never found it to be the case within my experience, although I can't argue if a subsequent reader says it is a problem.
