Want more economical anode for nickel electroplating

Hi, I'm a chemical engineer in a bike factory. we use chromium electroplating for some parts of bikes. before chromium plating, parts are plated with nickel. We use nickel anodes in nickel plating baths. nickel anodes are changed continuously and I want to find an economical method for nickel plating. Thank you for your helps.

Nickel is outrageously expensive but you cannot deposit a layer of nickel on your parts except by consuming that nickel in the form of anodes, Isil, sorry. But it is perhaps time to investigate nickel-iron alloy plating with your suppliers.

But you say you are "changing" anodes continuously. If you are using slab anodes, you can convert to nickel chips or crowns in titanium baskets so no nickel is thrown away.
