Flash corrosion issues after soda blasting

Our cast iron and aluminum parts are blasted with sodium bicarbonate and then rinsed with citric acid [on eBay or Amazon] to dissolve the carbonate film. However, in the intermittent period before painting (that could vary from a few hours to days), flash corrosion occurs. From research, it seems that amine-based inhibitors may work. Is this the way to go, or are there better options that I am missing?

Thanks,

Yes, you can use paintable sealers to give you some short term protection. However, in my opinion, the best option with cast parts is to paint them as quickly as possible.
