Q. If we place electrodes into copper sulphate on eBay or Amazon [affil link] and connected them to a supply, a pink deposit forms on the anode. What is the pink deposit?

What course are you taking and what are you supposed to be getting from it, Anna? What is the name of the textbook and lab book associated with this course? People will usually help when you are unable to find the necessary resources, but we're not here to do your homework for you.

But I can tell you that the salmon-color deposit will be on the cathode, not the anode. Also, although you can probably see the little gas bubbles, which will look like those in carbonated soft drinks, it probably isn't intuitively obvious how to quantify this presence of gas, and figuring it out is probably not part of your assignment. So the way to do it is to immerse a proper shape glass bottle under the solution level until it is filled; then you invert it so it's open-side-down. Then you place it over the area where the gas is being generated so any gas rises into the bottle and displaces solution from the bottle. Good luck.
