What type of paint would I use to paint over a cast iron/cast aluminum finish?

I want to see if I can paint over a white powder coated finish. It is a garden bench that would be kept outside. It is made of cast aluminum with cast iron legs.

If it already has an adherent powder coating on it, it probably doesn't matter what the underlying material is. Most exterior grade powder coating would be polyester based and compatible with latex paint.
