Gray scale formation is salt spray

At the time of salt spray testing, some gray (dark gray) color is forming. It is accepted or not.What is the chemical formation? Why it is coming?

You haven't told us what the component is or what it is made of yet, Kannan, so any guess as to the origin of the gray color would be inappropriate. The component has specifications and the finish applied to it has specifications and these determine whether the component has passed the salt spray test or failed. Please give us more info and perhaps a better answer can be offered.
