In FRANCE, inside THALES group, we are assess the potential of solutions for Yellow passivation "Alodine 1200" in 2006.
We collaboration of other partners inside French Aerospace industry group, we are study the ChromitAl TCP from US NAVAIR patent.
In Europe, The only approval company which use this ^patent is SURTEC GmbH (Germany).
The qualification test results was compliant with our requirements (corrosion, paint adhesion, electrical conduction).
The hard point is the light iridescent blue color of this process SURTEC650.
We are writing our own requirements specification for the use of this process in replacement of Yellow passivation for our aluminium product series 6000, 5000 and casting parts.
