Plating bumpers

I would like other suggestions on how to plate not using wing nuts.

It is possible to use strong springs for the racking, Chuck, or specially designed "quarter turn" levers. But no gravity hooks for chrome plating of heavy parts.

Try soldering short pieces of copper plumbing pipe to the inside of the bumpers for you contacts. They should easily sweat off after plating without blemishing the front side plating. Just do it slowly and concentrate your heat on the copper tube so you don't scorch the front finish. Tapping lightly on the tube while heating should knock them off with the minimum amount of heat.
