-----Preparation of older aluminum surface for painting
2007
I have good mill finished aluminum storms on a home we just bought and want to paint them white.
How should the surface be prepared for painting?
Thanks,
Home owner - Farmington Hills, mi
Rinse it well then treat it with tannic acid ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] solution (1 gm tannic acid ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] /1 lit water). When surface is dry wipe it with old rag and pure alcohol.Normally you can use any good proprietary product too. Good luck!

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
