-----Black Galvanizing
I have seen metallic outdoor flower pots and furniture that was blackish in color and metal. These items were used as outdoor products and offered low corrosion rates. I suspect that the finish is galvanized. Is there a method to blacken zinc so that it has a dark blackish/blue mill scale color. Thanks

This could be zinc phosphate. Phosphating galvanized steel can cause a blackening effect on the surface.
