Vinyl or Brite Coatings for Wire Nails

2006

I am a manufacturer of Coil Nails located in India. I am not very conversant with the types of coatings that nails are given in other countries. I have been getting a lot of enquiries for supply of coils nails but the enquiries are centered on the following surface finishes: 1. Brite Finish, 2. Vinyl Coating Finish.

Could you please help me with a write up on the above coatings - nature of these coatings, advantages/purposes, process of applying such coatings on the nails, material required for formulations with detailed commercial names and proportions.

You could also let me know where I can get relevant subject matter on the internet.

Dear Mr Siva Sunder,

Zinc Plated and blue Passivated Nails are referred to as Brite finish Nails. I have no idea what is meant by vinyl finish.

Dear Mr.Shiva Sunder,

I am Wire nail manufacturer, and I am also thinking of Vinyl coating of my loose nails. It is a thin coating of polyurethane resin. It is available in solvent base & water base type. Applied by dipping, spraying, or in rotating tumbler. Generally air dried.
