-----Excessive amount of sodium cyanide in rochelle copper bath
Hi,
I want to know symptoms of excessive amount of sodium cyanide in rochelle copper electroplating. How can I maintain the value of sodium cyanide in bath. I want to know that , filter is necessary or not.

Excessive cyanide normally results in very very slow plating. You control it by chemical analyses of the plating solution.

Ajay,
I agree with James on his input. When you are plating within the specified current density range a certain amount of cyanide is oxidized at the anode. Using a lower current density slows down that oxidation rate. This is fairly common in barrel plating because of lower CD applied. Periodic filtration should be sufficient for this bath. You also may want to make sure you have good anode contact. Good Luck!
