PHOSPHATING SLUDGE MODIFIER

I wish to know what is sludge modifier, what can be added in the bath as modifier so that the sludge settles down in the tank and also the bath produces lesser sludge.

How we can reduce extra sludge in the Phosphating bath, we are managing the bath parameters properly sometimes we get extra quantities of sludge.
