Difference between GI and EGI

Dear Sirs...

I am working for an appliance manufacturer in India and have a specific query regarding the subject... We use prepainted steel with EGI base 0.5 mm thickness and confirming to salt spray hours of 500 Hours.. the hardness specification is 55-65 HRB...

Now if we change the base substrate to EGI... will the hardness increase / decrease or have no impact...

Please suggest..
