Chrome conversion coating to stop galling?

Would a chrome conversion coating on aluminium help prevent galling/cold welding between an aluminium thread and mild steel? We are in the construction industry and have approximately 18 000 large parts so commercial anti-seize compounds are not practical. The threads are tightened, left under load and then loosened about 3 weeks later. Grease makes a small difference but is not solving the problem.

If grease does not help, I think that your aluminum threads are distorting under the load rather than galling.
