Anodize fading due to heat?

I have an application utilizing a Type II red anodized end cap on a motorcycle exhaust system. The red is fading incredibly fast, to the point that it has almost completely "burnt" off. What is the heat resistance of Type II color anodize? Is there a post process I can request that my vendor perform to increase the heat resistance? I have competitors using the same type of parts in the same type of application with no problems. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

If the competitor's does not burn off, it is either significantly cooler or they are using a two step anodizing where the color is from inorganic salts plated into the anodize. Commercial storefronts use this, so it is also referred to as architectural anodizing.

The dye used for a conventional type 2 class 2 is normally organic for red dyes. It will not take the heat.
