-----No Rinse Chromate Conversion
I work with a company that uses a chromate conversion for aluminum. The processes is used to treat the aluminum to meet salt corrosion requirements and for aesthetics. Our ultimate goal is to reduce chromium in the effluent. I was wondering if anyone has any insight or experience into no-rinse treatment systems. I am particularly interested in what the final products looks like. Are there problems with streaking/blotching?
Thank you,

Dry-in-place chromate conversion IS used on continuous coil in the steel mills where it is squeegeed off. I do not think piece part dip tank no-rinse chromate yet been developed.

I would say it's not universally used rather than saying it's not yet developed. Dried-in-place chromates are available both for piece parts and as a touchup pen.
