CHROME PLATED ENGAGEMENT RING - TOXIC?

MY ENGAGEMENT RING IS BEING CHROME PLATED RIGHT NOW - MY FRIENDS SAY I CAN'T WEAR IT BECAUSE CHROME IS TOXIC. IS THIS THE CASE? PLEASE HELP! I KNOW THIS SOUNDS CRAZY BUT I NEED TO KNOW.

Not only is it not toxic, but knives, flatware, platters, and a lot more have been chrome plated.

But are you sure it's being chrome plated? Rhodium plating is far more common for rings. Rhodium is a very bright and reflective white color, and most white gold rings these days are rhodium plated.
