-----Rust on chrome forged Titleist irons
Just purchased a used set of Titleist 690 MB irons ( my dream clubs ! ). Unfortunately, as soon as I washed them in water and mild dish wash solution- rust starts to develop like freckles everywhere. What happened ? My Old non-forged TaylorMade 320's never rusted in 6yrs. How can I remove the rust safely and, if possibly, permanently?

The plating has broken down exposing the base metal. The only permanent fix is replating. The best you can do otherwise is when dirty to wipe with a soft slightly damp cotton rag and dry immediately. Then apply a good nonabrasive wax.

Our company sells a product called "MIRACLE All Purpose Polishing CLOTH which is ideally suited for this job. It quickly and removes the rust while leaving a protective oil/wax finish over the entire surface thus inhibiting future rust. Easy and fast to use. Good luck
