Good adhesion without tin-palladium activation

We are a well established electroless nickel plating facility in Ontario. We are currently developing a procedure using silver based paints to electroform plastic parts. We have recently been approached with a contract to brass/copper plate ABS plastic. This application requires good adhesion between the plating material and the ABS substrate. We were wondering if anyone has had success using silver based paints in an application were adhesion was important. We would like to avoid the chromic-acid-etch and Tin Palladium activation method if possible.
